Venue Hire
Venue hire includes
- Private use of the venue for up to 40 pax.
- Drinks arrival table with wine cooler.
- Crockery, cutlery and glassware for up to 40 pax.
- One dedicated staff member on site during function.
- Secure parking.
- Notice/Welcome Board.
- Standard set up, cleaning and clearing of the venue.
- Beautiful indoor and outdoor area for photographs.
Venue hire excludes
- Décor, linen, draping & lighting.
- Flowers.
- Sound System.
- Additional tables and chairs required for events over 40 pax.
- On site dedicated event co-ordinator.
- Extra serving staff for more than 10 pax.
- Generator.
- Security Guard.

Drinks
- We do not have a liquor license so our customers are responsible for their own alcohol and ice.
- We have ice buckets available for use.
- All soft drinks are to be purchased through the venue.
- A beverage kitty is required for us to be able to stock a selection of drinks to be consumed on the day. Please see our beverage list. Confirmed beverage list required 5 days prior to your function.
- Beverage prices are subject to change at anytime without prior notice.

Additional Services & Costs
Catering
- We can assist with your catering requirements (harvest tables, fine dining, food trucks, picnics, canapes, etc.) as we have partnered with some of the North Coast’s best caterers. Please see our menus.
- For all outside catering there is a R1000 surcharge levied.
- All outside caterers are to adhere to strict rules and regulations as set down by the venue. All outside caterers to meet with venue co-ordinator 7 days prior to the function.
Other Suppliers
We can assit with the following:
- Marriage officer
- Photographer
- Silver service waiter service
- Sound or audio equipment
- DJ/Musicians
- Event Co-ordinator
- Cakes
Décor
- We do offer the option of an on-site co-ordinator who can assist with décor and set up – please see our Funktions Packages for pricing.
- Please note that our staff do not accept or handle any 3rd party décor suppliers on behalf of the client.
- We do not accept any responsibility for any 3rd party décor brought in by the client.
- No indoor furniture is to be moved with the venue without prior permission.
Overtime
Late departure is charged at R1000/hr or part thereof and is deducted from the refundable deposit.

Booking Requirements
- In order to secure the booking, for the date you have requested, a refundable deposit of 50% of the function fee is required. This amount will be put towards your final account. A signed contract together with pop must be forwarded to theplacekzn@icloud.com as confirmation of your booking.
- The deposit is payable within 5 working days of receipt of your quote, failing which your booking will be cancelled.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations will only be accepted in writing.
- Cancellation notice within 10 or fewer days prior to the function will not be refunded.
- In the event of Covid-19 regulations we will retain a R1000 admin fee.

Payment Policy
- Full payment is required 5 working days prior to the function date.
- Full payment includes beverages on a limited bar – e.g. If you should have a master account with a bar limit available for your guests, for example R1,000, this is to be included in the full payment. Should there be a credit due, this will be made available to you as soon as the accounts have been finalised. Any shortfall or outstanding amounts to be settled on presentation of statement.
- If the final payment is not received 5 working days prior to the function date, The Place reserves the right to cancel the function and withhold the deposit.

Overdue Account/Arrears
- Interest at the rate of 2% per month shall be levied on all overdue and or arrear amounts.
- Consent is given to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s court in respect of any action or proceedings which may be brought against them in connection with any claim brought by The Place notwithstanding the fact that such action or proceedings would otherwise be beyond the jurisdiction of such Court.
- Should an outstanding amount be handed over to Attorneys for collection due to failure to adhere to any of the above terms or for any other reason, then the client shall be responsible for the payment of all collection charges at the ruling rate and all legal costs between Attorney and client and the whole outstanding amounts shall forthwith be deemed to become due and owing even if a portion thereof would not be due in accordance with the above terms.

Breakages
- Should any breakages or damage to equipment, cutlery, crockery, furniture, fixtures, linen, walls, windows or any other property at The Place occur by guests attending the function, all charges or costs relating to such breakages or damages, including but not limited to replacement costs, rental costs incurred in the event that temporary replacements need to be rented or courier or transport charges, will be for the account of the Client.
